Ms. Plueger serves as the Neuroscience Clinical Nurse Specialist for the population outside of critical care in the Neuroscience tower. She provides educational support and consultation to the Neuro acute and Neuro telemetry floors, as well as the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Ms. Plueger is active on several hospital wide initiatives; including pain management and disruptive behaviors of patients. She has special interest in patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders, as well as patients that enter the acute care setting with chronic Neurological disease states. Her focus on identification of what competencies and ongoing education would look like instilled involvement in the EMU Caring.org project; along with ongoing strategic plans for educational opportunities.

Originally from the Midwest, Ms. Plueger has been a resident of Arizona for close to a decade. She holds an advanced practice degree in nursing and is Board Certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the state of Arizona.
Before taking on her current role, she worked as the Clinical Supervisor on the Neuro acute unit at Barrow Neurological Institute Ms. Plueger has been recognized as employee of the month on two different occasions.
