Gregory L. Barkley, M.D. is the Clinical Vice Chair of the Neurology Department at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  He is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Wayne State University.  Dr. Barkley co-founded the Henry Ford Comprehensive Epilepsy Program in 1987 and was the Medical Director for many years.  Dr. Barkley has served on the board of directors of the American Epilepsy Society, the Epilepsy Foundation, the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, and he has served as the Chair of the Epilepsy Foundation Professional Advisory Board.  He has been involved in research in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology throughout his career and has maintained an active practice of caring for patients with epilepsy and nonepileptic seizures as well.  In 2003, he and Patricia Osborne Shafer co-chaired the Living Well With Epilepsy II Conference.
